Dear Parents,

The students have shown an interest in making Apple, Witch Dolls for Halloween.  This is a fun craft project that students can keep for years to come.  In order to make this project, we will need your help.  There are items that need to be donated and prepared for the students to put the dolls together.

The following is a list of items we need donated and prepared:
·      Small, witch brooms (25) – Made of a small, craft stick and raffia (The raffia needs to be cut and hot glued to the ends of the sticks)

·      Dress for the witch (25) – Made from Halloween/Fall fabric (The dresses need to be cut from a pattern that I have).

·      Tie for the dress (25) – Made from twine and cut to a length of 12 inches.

·      Hair for the witch (large bag) – Made from Spanish Moss

·      The witch body (large bag) – Made from batting (the batting needs to be cut into strips from a pattern that I have).

·      Hat for the witch (25) – Made from black, butcher paper (I can provide) – I just need them cut out from a pattern.

·      Stand for the witch (25) – Made from a wood block (approximately 3 1/2 inch square and 3/4 inch thick) and large wooden chopsticks.  The wood block will need a hole drilled in the center.  The chopsticks need to be hot glued together.

I have an example and/or pattern of every item for a parent to follow.  Thanks for your support of this fun project!  We will be assembling the dolls on Halloween.
